Anne Orchard wanted to write a book for years. The trouble was she didn't know what it should be about, or who it was for. Finally, in 2007 she got the inspiration she needed - to write for the friends and family members of people with cancer; helping them address their own issues and so find it easier to be supporters. Self-published in 2008, Their Cancer - Your Journey was the result.

Having been through the process herself, Anne now understands many of the reasons why people fail to bring their projects to fruition, despite the desire to write. By sharing her own knowledge and interviewing other authors, she is now helping aspiring writers to see what might be involved, and decide if it's the path for them.

Living up to one of her online names (anneattheseaside), Anne now lives 200 yards from the sea with her husband and two sons in the pretty village of Charmouth, West Dorset.
